Wellness Feature & Health Data

Our application primarily provides insurance-related services. In addition, it offers a separate and optional Wellness Feature designed solely for fitness and wellness tracking purposes. The Wellness Feature operates independently and is not required to use any insurance-related services within the application.
Nature of the Wellness Feature
  • The Wellness Feature is completely optional and intended only for user fitness and wellness tracking.
  • It integrates with platform-provided services such as Health Connect (Android) and HealthKit (iOS) to read health data including steps, distance, and sleep.
  • This feature is not part of, and does not influence, any insurance-related functionality of the application.
Collection and Use of Health Data
  • Health data is accessed only after obtaining explicit user consent.
  • The data is used strictly for:
    • Displaying wellness insights within the app
    • Supporting participation in employer-sponsored wellness programs
  • Health data may be shared with Clients / Customers / Wellness Partners solely for wellness program enablement (e.g., activity tracking, participation, and engagement).
Strict Prohibition of Insurance Use
  • Health data is never used for:
    • Insurance underwriting
    • Risk profiling or risk assessment
    • Premium calculation
    • Policy issuance or eligibility decisions
    • Claims processing or claim evaluation
  • Health data is never accessed, processed, or used by any insurance broking, underwriting, or claims systems.
Complete Data Separation
  • Health data collected via the Wellness Feature is logically and functionally separated from all insurance-related systems.
  • There is no linkage, mapping, or association between:
    • Health data and insurance policies
    • Health data and claims records
    • Health data and customer insurance profiles
  • Insurance-related modules of the application do not have access to Health Connect data.
Third-Party Data Sharing
  • Health data may be shared only with authorized Clients / Customers / Wellness Partners for wellness program purposes.
  • Such parties are contractually obligated to:
    • Use data only for wellness purposes
    • Not use data for insurance, underwriting, or risk-related activities
  • Health data is not shared with insurers, brokers, or underwriters.
Data Retention
  • Health data is retrieved in real-time from Health Connect / HealthKit and is not permanently stored by the application unless required for wellness program functionality.
  • Any shared data is retained in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
User Control
  • Users have full control over their health data:
    • Permissions can be granted or revoked at any time
    • Users can opt out of the Wellness Feature at any time
  • Once permissions are revoked, the application will immediately stop accessing Health data.

Data Retention

We retain personal data:

  • Only as long as necessary for service delivery
  • Or as required under applicable laws (including IRDAI and DPDP obligations)
